The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has dismissed reports that it is considering replacing Alhaji Tijani Galadima as its governorship candidate ahead of the 2027 election.
Speaking with The PUNCH on Wednesday, the party’s Publicity Secretary, Dogo Victor, described the claim as false, insisting that there was no plan to substitute Galadima.
“We are hearing all these allegations over plans to change Galadima; there is nothing like that. He is the 2027 governorship candidate of the ruling APC in Adamawa State, take it from me as the spokesman of the party in Adamawa State,” he said.
There have been concerns within some sections of the party over Galadima’s perceived absence from the state and his level of grassroots engagement.
Reacting to the concerns, Victor said efforts were being made to introduce Galadima to more party members and residents across the state.
