2027: PDP no longer party of choice in Ogun — APC chieftain

A former Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Kayode Oladele, has declared that the Peoples Democratic Party has lost its electoral appeal in Ogun State, insisting that the party no longer represents a credible choice for voters ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Oladele, in a statement on Thursday, said years of internal divisions, leadership crises and the absence of a coherent political direction had diminished the PDP’s standing, while the APC had continued to strengthen its position through what he described as “purposeful governance and measurable performance” at both the federal and state levels.
