
The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the recent violent farmers-herders clash in Gulma Town, Argungu Local Government Area, which claimed the lives of eight people.
The Command disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bashir Usman, saying the suspects would soon be arraigned before a competent court.
According to the statement, those arrested are Adamu Madugu of Gulma, Musa Makera of Sauwa, Saidu Adamu of Sauwa, and Shafi’u Hamza of Gulma.
The police said the suspects would be prosecuted on charges of criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly and culpable homicide.
“The suspects, Adamu Madugu (male, Gulma), Musa Makera (male, Sauwa), Saidu Adamu (male, Sauwa), and Shafi’u Hamza (male, Gulma), are scheduled to be arraigned before a competent court on charges of Criminal Conspiracy, Unlawful Assembly, and Culpable Homicide,” the statement said.
