You Travelled From Abj to Otukpo With Helicopter as Sen President – Wike hits David Mark

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has criticized former Senate President David Mark, alleging that he resorted to travelling by helicopter from Abuja to his hometown in Otukpo, Benue State, due to the poor state of roads during his tenure.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Arterial Road N16 Ring Road III Interchange linking Jahi District to Gwarimpa in Abuja, Wike said Mark’s eight years as Senate President under former President Goodluck Jonathan saw no meaningful improvement on the Abuja–Makurdi–Otukpo road corridor.

Wike argued that while ordinary citizens struggled with deplorable roads, Mark chose helicopters, highlighting the inequality of access. 

He contrasted this with the current administration of President Bola Tinubu, which he said has delivered road projects within three years, making travel by road to Makurdi and Otukpo possible again.
