The lawmaker representing Borno South Senatorial District, Ali Ndume, has called on the Nigerian government to make the Senate a part-time work, where lawmakers only get paid when they have a sitting at the plenary or committee level.
Ndume made this call on Friday while responding to questions in an interview on Trust TV.
According to him, the Senate and the entire legislators do not go to office on a daily basis, but only during plenary sessions and at the various committee levels.
