Atiku’s aide urges Obi, Kwankwaso to unite after NDC court ruling

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s aide, Paul Ibe, on Friday called on Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso and other opposition leaders to unite ahead of the 2027 elections after a Federal High Court ruling set aside an earlier judgment that led to the registration of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

Reacting to Friday’s decision by the Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State, Ibe described the ruling as a warning to opposition figures and parties.

In a post on X, he said the judgment “should be a wake-up call that there is no hiding place for the opposition” and alleged that President Bola Tinubu was moving toward “enthroning a de facto one-party state.”
