Chaka Launches Hisa as It Builds a Pan-African Investment Platform

The Nigerian fintech that became the country’s first SEC-licensed digital sub-broker has launched Hisa, a new investment platform it says better reflects its ambitions beyond Nigeria and its next phase of growth across Africa.

The rebrand comes with more than a new identity. Hisa replaces the Chaka trading app with a redesigned product experience, new investing features, and a broader regional positioning as the company expands access to investing in Nigeria.

For years, Chaka’s core proposition was access. The company helped lower barriers to stock market participation by allowing retail investors buy and sell publicly traded securities from their smartphones. But access alone, the company says, is no longer enough.

As digital investing matures across Africa, user experience, transparency, and trust are becoming equally important differentiators.
