The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State, Senator Solomon Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has pledged to prioritise the overall development of Egbaland, particularly Abeokuta, the state capital, if elected governor.
Adeola also promised to execute infrastructure projects that would stimulate socio-economic development across Ogun Central Senatorial District.
The senator made the pledge during a visit to the palace of the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, on Saturday.
Adeola, who was formally presented to the monarch by his maternal kinsmen from Kemta Odusolu Township in Abeokuta, said he had already facilitated several developmental projects across the six local government areas in Ogun Central despite representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
