2027: ‘It’s My Turn’ – Wike’s Ally Sam Anyanwu Declares for Imo Governorship

Samuel Anyanwu, National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has openly declared his ambition to govern Imo State in 2027, insisting that the time has come for him to take his place among former leaders of the state.

The PDP chieftain made the declaration in Owerri, the Imo State capital, during the inauguration of a political support structure known as the Polling Unit Movement for Sam Daddy.

Anyanwu, popularly known in political circles as “Sam Daddy,” told supporters that after years of political involvement and service, he believes he deserves the opportunity to lead Imo State.

He pointed to his long-standing political relationship with other major figures in the state, noting that many of them have already had the chance to occupy the state’s top office.

According to him, fairness and political balance demand that he should now be given the opportunity to serve as governor.
