
Fresh cracks have emerged within the All Progressives Congress in Kwara State as senior party stakeholders have appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently intervene in the growing crisis threatening the party’s future in the state ahead of the 2027 general election.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that three serving senators, four members of the House of Representatives, governorship aspirants and other influential APC figures are pushing for a major review of the party’s recent primaries in Kwara.
The aggrieved stakeholders are demanding the replacement of the APC governorship candidate, Salihu Danladi, arguing that he may not be able to deliver victory for the party in 2027.
They also called for a comprehensive review of the governorship, National Assembly and State House of Assembly primaries, insisting that the outcomes currently being disputed do not reflect the true wishes of party members.
