Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, is reportedly facing possible deportation from South Africa due to allegations that she is residing in Cape Town without a valid immigration status.
According to reports, the beauty queen was located in the Summer Greens area of Cape Town and later appeared before the Cape Town Regional Court on June 9 regarding her alleged unlawful stay in the country. She was reportedly released on warning, with her next court appearance scheduled for July.
The latest development adds another chapter to the controversy that first brought Adetshina into the spotlight during the 2024 Miss South Africa pageant, when questions were raised about her citizenship and identity documents.
Neither Adetshina nor her representatives have publicly addressed the latest allegations.
