Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has vowed that no force on earth can halt Nigeria’s revolution.
Speaking shortly after being granted bail of N200 million by the Abuja Federal High Court, Sowore emphasized that authorities have consistently targeted his passport.
Despite the ruling, he was returned to Kuje Correctional Centre until he fulfills the bail conditions.Justice Mohammed Umar had earlier set stringent requirements for his release, including two sureties one being a traditional ruler from Sowore’s hometown and another an Abuja property owner alongside the surrender of his international passport.
Sowore, a prominent human rights activist, has been in custody since June 22, 2026, following charges of defamation for allegedly calling President Bola Tinubu a criminal.
