The Federal Government has welcomed the suspension of the ongoing teachers’ strike in Oyo State, describing it as a triumph for dialogue and a significant move toward restoring normal academic activities in public schools.
In a statement on Thursday, the government noted that the resolution came after intensive engagements between the Federal Ministry of Education, the Oyo State Government, and the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) at national, zonal, and state levels. This has paved the way for teachers to return to the classrooms.
