Organisers of the Geneith Health Competition (GHC) have called on secondary and tertiary institution students across Nigeria to take the lead in the fight against malaria as preparations intensify for the national competition scheduled for October 30.
The appeal was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Managing Director of CEOAFRICA and initiator of the competition, Prince Cletus Sunday Iloabanafor, and the Chairman of Geneith Pharmaceuticals Limited, Chief Emmanuel Umenwa, on Thursday.
The organisers described malaria as one of Nigeria’s most persistent public health challenges and urged students to embrace their role as future health advocates by participating actively in the competition.
They also encouraged students to intensify their preparations, describing the final weeks before the competition as a critical period for participants.
