I’m not interfering with judiciary by providing infrastructure – Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu on Monday assured that his administration’s provision of infrastructure for the judiciary is not an interference in the responsibilities of the third arm of government.

Tinubu explained that his administration is providing infrastructure to enable the judiciary carry out its duties in a befitting environment.

Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, George Akume, Tinubu spoke at the commissioning of the annex office of the Body of Benchers in Abuja.

The project is part of those earmarked to celebrate Tinubu’s third year anniversary in office.

He said: “It’s with profound honour and a great sense of national purpose that I stand before you today to officially commission the state of the art office annex of the Body of Benchers in our nation’s capital.

“today’s ceremony is not merely a celebration of a beautiful edifice crafted with architectural excellence, it’s a resounding affirmation of our administration’s commitment to the rule of law, the independence of our institution, and the dignity of the Nigerian legal profession.

“When we took that oath of office, we promised Nigerians renewed hope and we made it clear that democracy cannot thrive in a vacuum, it required a strong resilient and well equipped institution to anchor it.

“The body of Benchers as a gatekeeper to the legal profession charged with the critical responsibility of admitting eligible candidates to the bar and maintaining the highest standards of discipline stands at the very highest of this institutional framework.
