The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has issued a N10bn defamation threat against Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi following allegations linking him to murder, bribery, and other criminal activities.
A letter dated July 6, 2026, signed by Kemi Pinheiro (SAN) of Pinheiro LP, Gbajabiamila’s legal representatives, demanded that Adeyemi retract his claims and issue a public apology.
The move comes after Adeyemi’s June 25 press conference, where he accused Gbajabiamila of demanding a share of the alleged N27.4bn take-off grant of the so-called Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). Adeyemi, who is facing criminal charges for forgery and impersonation, also described the Chief of Staff as “a murderer” and “an assassin.”
Legal Demands
The letter ordered Adeyemi to:
Remove all transcripts, videos, and recordings of the press conference from every platform.
Publish a full retraction and apology in at least five national newspapers and across social media.
Provide a written undertaking to desist from further publications
