Eighteen governors who are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), the majority of whom are serving their first term, are currently in a closed-door meeting at the Kebbi State Government House in Birnin Kebbi.
The meeting is hosted by Governor Nasir Idris (Kebbi).
Journalists are gathered at the Government House awaiting an official briefing at the end of the session.

Governors in attendance include Ahmed Aliyu (Sokoto), Uba Sani (Kaduna), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo), Francis Nwifuru (Ebonyi), Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom), Monday Okpebholo (Edo), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Ahmed Usman Ododo (Kogi) and Peter Mbah (Enugu).
