The Executive Chairman of Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Hon. Isa Kalanjeni, has resigned from office and subsequently dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
Kalanjeni, who was elected on the APC platform in the 2024 local government elections, announced his resignation from the ruling party in a letter personally signed and addressed to the APC Ward Chairman of Kalanjeni Ward in Tangaza Local Government Area.
The resignation letter, dated May 5, 2026, stated that his decision took immediate effect.
“I wish to formally inform you of my decision to resign from the APC with immediate effect,” he wrote.
He explained that the decision was taken for personal reasons and expressed appreciation to the party leadership for giving him the opportunity to serve under the APC in Sokoto State.
