Demola Olarenwaju, Senior Political Assistant to Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies to invite President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, for questioning over his alleged links to the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC).
Olarenwaju urged the agencies to handle Gbajabiamila in the same manner as they treated former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai. He also demanded that Gbajabiamila step aside from his position while investigations proceed.
In a post on X, Olarenwaju argued that Gbajabiamila cannot remain in office as Chief of Staff during an independent probe, especially since the investigating agencies may require presidential approval to operate effectively. He called for the suspension of Gbajabiamila and any accomplices until the matter is resolved.
