Ben Sasse’s words brought a sense of both comfort and remembrance to my own situation earlier this year when I came within hours of death due to a massive blood infection. He reminds us we are created finite and that we are “not supposed to be limitless and boundless.” Believing we are finite should cause us to fear, yet in Christ, when we are dependent on him, we don’t have to fear (Ps. 46).
