The whereabout of Phillip Loveday, the senior pastor at Faith Christian Center in Freer, Texas, came to a tragic end as his lifeless body was discovered inside his company vehicle six days after he went missing. Loveday, 47, left his home for his secular job at Kinder Morgan on August 2, but never arrived. The shocking news of his untimely demise has left the community and his congregation in disbelief.
The Corpus Christi Police Department revealed that Loveday’s company vehicle was located by officers from the Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office on a remote county road on Tuesday afternoon. The vehicle was found off county road 2444 in Nueces County, and to their horror, a body was discovered inside. The authorities have since confirmed that the deceased was indeed Phillip Loveday. The circumstances surrounding his death, however, continue to be shrouded in mystery.
