England beat France 6-4 in a thrilling third-place match at the 2026 World Cup on Saturday night.

The Three Lions raced into a four-goal lead in the first half of the match.

Declan Rice opened the scoring, before Ezri Konsa headed in a second and Bukayo Saka scored a brace.

But Les Bleus came out fighting in the second half, scoring three times to put the game in jeopardy.

Kylian Mbappe (twice) and Bradley Barcola pulled France back into the contest, but Saka completed his hat-trick from the spot.

Although Ousmane Dembele scored for Didier Deschamps’ men, Jude Bellingham produced a stunning solo effort to seal the win.
