The Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr Henry Egbe Ayuk, has assured members of the public that full medical services have been restored at the General Hospital, Calabar, following disruptions caused by a student protest on Monday.
Dr Ayuk made the declaration during back-to-back visits to the hospital on Tuesday and Wednesday, where he inspected facilities, assessed patient care, and confirmed that normal hospital operations had resumed.

The visit also focused on the recovery of students admitted after the Odukpani road auto crash, with the Commissioner touring clinical wards and interacting with medical teams on duty.
He commended health workers for their resilience and professionalism in maintaining service delivery despite the recent challenges, noting that their commitment ensured continuity of care during the period of tension.

Dr Ayuk reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to uninterrupted and quality healthcare delivery, stressing that all necessary measures
