Ovie Omo-Agege, former deputy Senate president of Nigeria, has declared his ability to build the Nigeria Democratic Party (NDC) in Delta State and make the new party competitive.
“We did it before for the APC when many said it was impossible. We mobilised at the grassroots, organised our people, and changed the political equation.
“I bring that same resolve and experience to the NDC. Our immediate priority will be to strengthen the party from the ward level upward, register new members, and prepare a credible slate of candidates for the 2027 elections.
Omo-Agege made the declaration while joining the NDC after resigning his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State.
He left the APC after losing to a serving senator, Ede Dafinone, in the party’s Delta Central Senatorial
