Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gadji, a member of the House of Representatives, has warned his colleagues that no lawmaker is safe amid the escalating insecurity across Nigeria.
Gadji, who represents the Kanke/Pankshin/Kanam Federal Constituency of Plateau State, made the call on the floor of the House during plenary on Tuesday, June 3, 2026.
Speaking on the rising wave of banditry and terrorism, the lawmaker described the wanton killings and kidnappings of citizens as unacceptable.
“This is unacceptable, Mr Speaker. We must stand up and find a way of bringing the issue of insecurity to order.
“Otherwise, you and I are not safe, no matter how much Nigerians respect us. We are moving to a level where Nigerians will fight us the way they fight criminals and Boko Haram,” Gadji said.
He also urged his colleagues to mount pressure on the executive and security agencies to take decisive action against the criminals.
