Poland striker Robert Lewandowski will be targeting a goalscoring milestone when the White-Reds host the Super Eagles in a friendly match at the Stadion PGE Narodowy in Warsaw on Wednesday (today), PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Lewandowski has played 166 games for his country and scored 89 goals. If he scores against Nigeria, he will reach the 90-goal mark, further extending his record as Poland’s all-time leading scorer and moving closer to the 100-goal milestone.
He made his debut for Poland on September 10, 2008.
The 37-year-old is likely to start the encounter after playing just 45 minutes in his side’s last game against Ukraine, which ended in a 2-0 defeat.
Poland coach Jan Urban confirmed he plans to make several changes to his starting XI, revealing that Wolfsburg goalkeeper Kamil Grabara will replace Marcin Bułka between the posts, while Piotr Zieliński is also set to start.
