Lille reject Arsenal’s €60m opening bid for Moroccan wonderkid Bouaddi

French Ligue 1 club Lille have reportedly rejected a €60 million bid from Arsenal for highly-rated Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, with the French side holding out for at least €70 million amid growing interest from Europe’s elite clubs.

According to reports from Africafoot, Arsenal identified the 18-year-old as one of their priority targets ahead of the summer transfer window and moved swiftly with a substantial offer after being impressed by his rapid development and performances for Lille.

However, Lille are unwilling to part with one of their brightest prospects for that fee and believe Bouaddi’s value will continue to rise in the coming years.

Arsenal scouts have reportedly monitored the teenager closely over recent months, with the club convinced that his composure on the ball, technical quality and immense potential could make him a key figure in their midfield for years to come.
