NANS Announces 3-Day Protest Over Abduction of 42 Borno Schoolchildren

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Zone E (North-East), has announced plans to embark on a peaceful solidarity protest following the abduction of 42 students of Government Day Secondary School, Mussa, in Askira/Uba Local Government Area of Borno State.

The protest, scheduled for June 5 to June 7, will be held simultaneously across North-East states including Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, and Taraba.

According to a notice issued by the Chief of Staff to the NANS Zone E Coordinator, Lukman Yusuf, the demonstration is aimed at drawing national attention to the abducted students and calling for urgent action to secure their release.

He explained that the protest would also serve as a show of solidarity with the affected families while urging authorities to strengthen efforts toward the safe rescue of the victims.
