
Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has argued that any vote cast for Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi in the 2027 election would ultimately benefit President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking during an interview on Symfoni TV, Okonkwo said opposition forces must remain united if they hope to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next presidential election.
The former spokesperson of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council maintained that a fragmented opposition would only improve Tinubu’s chances of securing another term in office.
According to him, dividing votes among opposition candidates would weaken efforts to build a strong challenge against the APC.
“A vote for Peter Obi in 2027 is a vote for Tinubu,” Okonkwo declared during the interview.
