JUST IN: Tinubu Asked to Resign Over Escalating Insecurity Across Nigeria

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has called on President Bola Tinubu to resign from office over what it described as the worsening state of insecurity across Nigeria.

Politics Nigeria reports that the party made the demand on Thursday, accusing the President of failing in his constitutional duty to protect lives and property.

The call comes at a time of renewed national concern over the surge in violent attacks and kidnappings across several states, particularly the recent abduction of school pupils and teachers in Oyo State.

The incident, which occurred on May 15, saw armed men storm three schools in Ahoro-Esinle and Yawota communities in Oriire Local Government Area, abducting scores of pupils and teachers. The attack left families in deep trauma and sparked widespread outrage across the country.
