
Cyclists in Lagos joined the Cycling Federation of Nigeria and road safety officials to advocate safer roads and greater consideration for bicycle users as part of activities marking the 2026 World Bicycle Day.
The cyclists embarked on an awareness ride across major parts of the state, using the event to promote cycling as a safe, affordable and environmentally friendly means of transportation while calling for improved infrastructure for riders.
The rally, organised by the Cycling Federation of Nigeria in partnership with FT Cycle Care and the Federal Road Safety Corps, commenced from the National Stadium, Surulere, and passed through Anthony, Obanikoro, Maryland and Ojodu Berger before ending at the FRSC office in Lagos.
