
The kidnappers holding teachers and pupils abducted from three schools in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have made a four demands to the Federal Government as a condition for freeing the captives.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the abductors, who launched the coordinated, daytime assault on May 15, 2026, near Ogbomoso, are leveraging the lives of the hostages to demand the unconditional release of two high-profile terrorist commanders from federal custody.
They are also seeking the payment of a ₦1 billion ransom to be channeled into a bank account in the Republic of Benin, the delivery of two brand-new operational Toyota Hilux vehicles, and the sweeping implementation of Sharia-related law within their designated forest enclaves.
