BREAKING: Ebonyi Commissioner Resigns, Dumps APC for PDP Ahead of 2027

The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Project Monitoring, Felix Igboke, has resigned from Governor Francis Nwifuru’s cabinet and defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Igboke announced his decision during a PDP gathering in Isu, Onicha Local Government Area, where he was received by party leaders, executives and supporters.

The former commissioner said he joined the opposition party alongside more than 10,000 supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Describing the move as a return to his political roots, Igboke said the PDP was the platform that gave him his first opportunity to serve the people.

According to him, he had previously served as a councillor, development centre coordinator and chairman of Onicha Local Government Area under the party before moving to the APC.
