
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Rivers State Command, now has a new Helmsman, Commandant Reuben Dennis.
This is as his predecessor, Joachin Okafor, bows out in a brief handing and taking over ceremony at the Command’s headquarters along Olu Obasanjo Road in Port Harcourt on Tuesday.
A statement issued in Port Harcourt on Wednesday morning by the Rivers NSCDC spokesperson, Ihemnacho Umeado, said the former State Commandant, symbolically transferred the seal of authority to the New State Commandant, Commandant Reuben Lessor Dennis, who until his appointment was the immediate past Rivers State Command’s 2i/c and most recently, the HOD operations, Zone 9, Port Harcourt.
In his farewell speech, the outgoing State Commandant, Joachin Okafor, thanked the Commandant-General, Prof Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for giving him the privilege and opportunity to serve the Corps and nation at large.
