President Bola Tinubu has charged security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC, to ensure peaceful and credible elections in the forthcoming governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun statea

BusinessDay checks show that while Ekiti people will go to the polls to elect a new Governor on June 20, the election in Osun is expected to hold on the 15th of August, this year.

The President in his June 12 nationwide broadcast on Friday, charged both institutions to create the necessary atmosphere for  peaceful and credible elections

” In the coming days, Ekiti and Osun States will hold elections. I urge INEC, security agencies, and all parties to ensure these polls are peaceful and credible.

The President noted that failure of democracy occurs when people doubts the process
