Akwa Ibom council boss hails Eno’s education reforms

The Chairman of Uyo Local Government Area, Dr Uwemedimo Udo, has commended Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, for his commitment to improving education through the provision of modern learning facilities across the state.

Udo gave the commendation on Saturday during the commissioning of the newly reconstructed QIC Government Model Primary School, Oku, describing the project as a transformative intervention that would positively impact generations of pupils and residents of the community.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by his media team.

The school, originally established in 1914 by Qua Iboe Church missionaries, has undergone its first comprehensive reconstruction in more than a century.

The facility now boasts 19 modern classrooms, Information and Communication Technology facilities, a sickbay, administrative offices, staff quarters and other amenities designed to enhance teaching and learning.
