Anambra to digitalise legislative operations

Somtochukwu Udeze, the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr Somtochukwu Udeze, says the legislative arm is working towards digitalising its operations to make it more accessible to the populace.

Udeze stated this on Friday at 3rd Anniversary of the 8th Assembly/ Democracy Day celebration, attended by Governor Chukwuma Soludo and other State functionalies.

He argued that digitalisation would help to expand their scope of operations and reach while modernising the lawmaking processes for easy accessibility.

“As an Assembly, we remain committed to strengthening our institution. We are working towards improving staff welfare, expanding legislative infrastructure, including the proposed administrative block, and digitalizing the entire legislative operations and modernizing the lawmaking process to make it much functional,” he stated.

He commended the Governor for enabling the legislative chamber to provide the state with three years of purposeful legislative service such as lawmaking laws, providing oversight, and representing their interests.
