Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has declared that the state remains one of the safest in Nigeria, stating that no kidnapping incident has been recorded since he assumed office.
The governor made this known on Saturday in Ebonyi while addressing journalists during the second round of the Presidential Media Tour of Projects in the South-East, where members of the media were taken on an inspection of key infrastructure projects across the state.
This comment come amidst rising insecurity across the country .
Welcoming the visiting journalists, Nwifuru said the tour would provide an opportunity for the media to independently assess the administration’s achievements in infrastructure and development.
“Many of you may be shocked by what you are going to see. You may not see what you expected to see, but I urge you to judge us fairly based on what you will observe during this tour,” the governor said.
