FG expands SE infrastructure with Abuja- Cross River Trans-Sahara superhighway

…Opens up South East to investors, tackle insecurity

President Bola Tinubu’s infrastructure drive is opening up South Eastern part of Nigeria, with the expansion of scope of work on the Trans-Sahara superhighway.

The project which was initiated by the  Tinubu administration, will connect Cross River, Ebonyi, Benue, Nasarawa and the Federal Capital Territory.

Abiodun Oladunjoye, the director of information and public relations, State House, revealed that Dave Umahi, Minister of Works, told the Presidential Media team currently inspecting federal government projects in the South East, weekend, that “the original scope of section 1 of the project was meant to cover 118 Kilometres single carriageway, but later reviewed to cover both lanes of the 123.6 kilometres at a cost of N445 billion.

Umahi stated that the dualised component’s procurement process is ongoing.
