Rangers technical adviser, Fidelis Ilechukwu, says his focus is to fortify the team ahead of the 2026-27 season.
The Flying Antelopes ended speculation over Ilechukwu’s future by extending his contract by one year on Saturday.
The decision puts the coach in charge as the club prepares for both the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL and CAF champions league.
Ilechukwu led Rangers to their ninth NPFL title last season.
The triumph secured the Enugu-based side a return to the continent after years away from Africa’s elite club competition.
“We are focused and ready to give our best, especially now that we are returning to continental football,” Ilechukwu was quoted by Owosports.
“We are working hard to strengthen the squad and ensure that Rangers remain competitive at the highest level.”
