The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has announced the postponement of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Service Year in Niger State.

In a statement signed by Caroline Embu,

Director, Information and Public Relations, the NYSC informed Prospective Corps Members deployed to the State that they could no longer proceed with the orientation course until further notice.

It said the decision became necessary due to the ongoing renovation of the NYSC Orientation Camp in Paiko, Niger State, being undertaken by the Niger State Government following the extensive damage caused by a recent windstorm.

“Consequently, NYSC Management is making urgent arrangements to secure an alternative venue for the Orientation Course.

“A new commencement date and other relevant details will be communicated to affected Prospective Corps Members in due course,” the statement added.

The NYSC said it “regrets any inconvenience this postponement may cause to the Prospective Corps Members and their families and appreciates their understanding and cooperation.”
