Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has asserted that Edo State enjoyed better security during his administration than Anambra State did under former Governor Peter Obi.
Oshiomhole made the remarks while speaking on the Mic On Podcast hosted by Seun Okinbaloye.
He criticised opposition figures, including Obi and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, for criticising President Bola Tinubu’s handling of national insecurity without offering concrete solutions.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain specifically challenged Obi’s security record, pointing to the activities of the Bakassi Boys vigilante group, which he said escalated into widespread kidnapping and lawlessness in Anambra during Obi’s tenure (2006–2014).
