The Isoko Development and Leadership Movement has embarked on fundraising to procure electricity transformers and other needed infrastructure “to boost stable power supply in Isoko nation”.
The group urged sons and daughters of Isoko nation worldwide to “support the initiative by contributing generously towards the project aimed at ensuring sustainable development of the community”.
The statement by the convener of the group and Chief Executive of Henrienco Holdings, Mr. Henry Ochuko Odugba, on Tuesday said Isoko deserved stable electricity.
“Isoko deserves development. Isoko deserves a brighter future… Access to stable electricity is a fundamental requirement for sustainable development. We are committed to mobilising stakeholders toward achieving this objective,” the group added.
It also appealed passionately to the Governor of Delta State, Sheriff Oborevwori, to facilitate lasting solutions to the electricity challenges confronting the area.
