
The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission said it has spent over N4bn to complete abandoned projects across riverine communities in Ondo State.
The Director of Project Monitoring, Dipo Aluko, disclosed this on Wednesday during an inspection tour of completed projects by the commission.
He said the completed projects accounted for over N4bn in budget execution, noting that several infrastructure projects had been delivered across the mandate areas.
“The completed projects accounted for over N4billion in the budget execution. We are talking about billions of naira. The concrete landing walkways are, on average, between N45 million and N50 million each, and we have completed four of them. The Obenla concrete walkway alone costs N1.7 billion and has been completed, ” Aluko stated.
Also speaking, the OSOPADEC Chairman, Olabiyi Poroye, said the projects were inherited from previous administrations but promised that the commission would ensure their completion and delivery.
