Fayose casts vote, predicts APC’s Oyebanji will win Ekiti guber poll

There was a large turnout of voters on Saturday across Polling Units in Afao-Ekiti, especially at St David Primary School, where Ayodele Fayose, former Ekiti State Governor, cast his vote.

Observations across the electoral wards indicated that voters of different age groups trooped out early to participate in the exercise with all eight polling units recording significant voter presence.

Fayose arrived at his Polling Unit, located at St. David’s Primary School, Afao-Ekiti, at about 8:50 a.m. alongside his son, Bolu Fayose, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Irepodun/Ifelodun Constituency II in the State House of Assembly election.

The former governor and his son were accompanied by security personnel drawn from the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Both men were accredited at Polling Unit 1 through the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) before casting their votes.
