Manchester United have reportedly identified Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen as their “dream target” for the summer transfer window, though the Nigeria international is understood to be the most difficult of five strikers on the club’s shortlist to sign, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
According to CaughtOffside, United boss Michael Carrick is keen to bolster his attacking options following a third-placed finish in the Premier League, with the club anticipating further progress in the 2026/27 season.
With Joshua Zirkzee expected to leave Old Trafford this summer, Benjamin Sesko is set to require fresh competition as the club’s central striker, and funds are believed to be available for new signings following the departure of midfielder Casemiro.
However, the report suggests Galatasaray’s high valuation of Osimhen could prove a major obstacle.
