Police Launch Probe into Killing of Ex-Ogun Broadcaster, Security Guard

The Ogun State Police Command has begun a full investigation into the killing of retired Ogun State Television broadcaster, Mrs. Kitan Oyesiku, and her security guard at her residence in Agodo community along the Abeokuta–Siun–Sagamu Expressway.

According to police spokesperson DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the incident was reported on Sunday, June 21, 2026, by a resident who raised alarm over suspicious activity at the compound. Detectives dispatched to the scene discovered evidence of forced entry. 

The guard’s body was found in the security post, while Oyesiku’s remains were located inside her apartment. 

Her vehicle was also missing.Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni has ordered an intensive investigation to track down the perpetrators. Surveillance and intelligence-led operations have been expanded across the area as part of proactive measures.

The command expressed condolences to Oyesiku’s family, Ogun State Television, and the wider media community, assuring that justice will be pursued.
