Governor Muhammadu Yahaya has officially presented the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Gombe State, Jamilu Gwamna, to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The presentation took place shortly after Gwamna emerged as the APC flagbearer following what the party described as a decisive victory in its governorship primary ahead of the 2027 polls.
President Tinubu congratulated Gwamna on his emergence and commended Governor Yahaya for what he described as exemplary leadership and efforts in strengthening the APC in Gombe State.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Director-General of Press Affairs at the Gombe Government House, Ismaila Misilli, the President expressed confidence in the party’s leadership in the state and its capacity to sustain developmental progress.
Tinubu was quoted as saying he was optimistic that the party would continue to build on its achievements and maintain the political stability
