2027: Wike throws subtle shade at Aduda over alignment with Tinubu, APC

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike on Monday, June 22, 2026, took a swipe at his friend and political ally, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, over the latter’s alignment with President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

While commissioning projects in Karu, Wike highlighted the infrastructure developments in the area.

He also compared the past political representation and current gains under the Tinubu administration across Karu – Aduda’s community.

“Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, you are here today. I’m sure you were happy in the House of Representatives under a president, you were a senator under a president — none of these things happened in Karu.

“But now you are supporting a president who understands and means well for the rural community. Today, you are getting water in Karu; today, you are getting roads in Karu,” Wike said.

The minister also stressed the importance of political reciprocity, urging the people
