How insecurity, collapsed facilities plague Kaduna college

Students of Kaduna State College of Education, Gidan Waya, are battling poor infrastructure, security concerns and inadequate welfare facilities, findings by Arewa PUNCH have revealed.

A visit by our correspondent to the institution showed that the college has continued to struggle with a dilapidated access road, rising transportation costs, concerns over hostel security and inadequate facilities despite repeated calls for intervention by stakeholders.

The most visible challenge is the poor condition of the road leading to the institution. During the rainy season, large sections become flooded and difficult to navigate, disrupting movement for students, staff and visitors.

The Chaplain of St. Albert Chaplaincy, Rev. Fr. Julius Moses Eyyazo, described the road as one of the institution’s greatest challenges.
